Ingredients For Making Peanut Butter Soup Ghana
- cup of peanut
- butter paste
- 2 Seasoning cubes
- 2 Garlic
- 4 Fresh tomatoes
- Meat ( chicken )
- 2 medium size Onion
- 4 green/red pepper
- 1 Tomatoes paste
- 1 Ginger
- 3 Bay leaves
- Anise seeds
Steps For Preparing Peanut Butter Soup
Get your washed chicken or meat into a pot, blend your garlic, ginger, cumin, anise seeds, rosemary, and onion, then pour it over your chicken or meat.
Add in your bay leaves, tomato paste, 1 seasoning cube, a little salt to taste, and some little water.
Cover it up and allow it to boil on medium heat for about 20 minutes, then stir it for everything to mix.
Taste it if necessary.
In a separate pot, add 1 cup of water, put in your fresh tomatoes, 1 onion, ginger, red and green bell pepper.
Then, allow it to cook for 10 minutes for it to be soft and tender, then sieve the hot water away and blend the ingredients.
It is used as a thickener for the soup; after you’ve blended the ingredients, put it aside.
Get a bowl, put in a cup of peanut butter paste, add in a cup of hot water, mix it until it becomes light (not thick at all, very light), and set aside.
By now, the sauce we added at the beginning to boil our chicken has thickened, and you can see the oil forming on top of the chicken sauce.

Stir everything together, add 1 cup of water, and allow the soup to cook very well for about 45 minutes on medium heat.
Then close the pot partially and come back to stir the soup occasionally so that it doesn’t get burnt.
When the oil from the chicken and peanut begins to float at the top of the soup, that indicates the soup is ready to be served.
Add in your fresh habanero pepper (green/red) to garnish the soup.

Step For Preparing Fufu
Wash and peel one big cassava, then cut it into smaller pieces, get some plantain, and do the same.
Then, place them into a blender. Add some water to allow easy movement of the blades,
Then, blend into a smooth paste; try not to add too much water.
After blending, put what you blended in a pot.
Place the pot containing the blended cassava and plantain on medium or low heat, add some little water, and stir continuously to avoid lumps; cook for about 5 minutes until it all comes together.
To ensure it is very well cooked, add some little water, flip it over, and allow to cook for about 3 minutes as you stir; at this point, your fufu is ready to be served.
Put the fufu in a plastic wrapper to preserve it.
